I am at a serious point here. I am on my 3rd Epic. First went in the pool, 2nd just died. I pickd up my 3rd today and I am in the process of rooting. I flashed CWM5.0.2.7 with Odin. When I try to flash a new rom, I get this: assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == " epic" ||...

it froze my epic twice. It's a cool launcher at first, then ice cube!

I am running the EH06 rooted CWM 3.1.0.1 and I am not having any problems. BT works great, GPS is solid. I think I'll stick with this until the final update rolls out OTA and see what the devs can cook up for us then!!!!

Does it matter if I use the free version or the pro version? Just wanting basic back up utilities

Finally got my phone back. EH06 Leak, Rooted with new CWM and ADW themes (for now). Going to flash a new ROM sometime this week. Anyone suggest a good backup program? Titanium? MyBackupPro? Any suggestions.....

Ok, I pulled the battery and put it back in. I pressed #1 and power button at the same time. What do I do next? How long will it say "Downloading, Do not turn off target"

So, I tried OneClickRoot and the new ClockworkMod 3.1.0.1. When I try to boot into CWM or boot my phone normally, it sits at the Samsung Screen. How can I get out of this, or in to CWM? I didn't have this problem with my other Epic. Could it be that 3.1.0.1 is broken for the Epic? Help...

I filed an insurance claim on it. The people at my Sprint stores I would rather not deal with most of the time. I had this happen with my old Samsung Instinct and have never had a problem with a claim not going through.

After reading this thread, I am really scared. My Epic suffered water damage last night in my pool (why do I drink)....Anyway, I am having to re-activate my old Pre...bleh. I hope that I have some better luck on Tuesday when my New (refurb) Epic arrives!!!!!!

OK, I am confused. Someone says use a mirror, one person says use the front camera. How do you use the front camera for Skype?
