So, I tried OneClickRoot and the new ClockworkMod 3.1.0.1. When I try to boot into CWM or boot my phone normally, it sits at the Samsung Screen. How can I get out of this, or in to CWM? I didn't have this problem with my other Epic. Could it be that 3.1.0.1 is broken for the Epic? Help Please!!! I need to root, stock sucks...HAHA

Ok, I pulled the battery and put it back in. I pressed #1 and power button at the same time. What do I do next? How long will it say "Downloading, Do not turn off target"

Downloading Mode which you are in is for using Odin. So if that is what your attempting to use then your good to go. Otherwise pull your battery and boot up normally or into CWM.

CWM 3.1.0.1 is NOT broken for the Epic, that is what everyone should be running at this time for rooted devices.

Paul, you are awesome!!! I have read a lot of your posts. I just can't seem to get my phone out of the Samsung start up screen. I just pulled my battery and tried to boot normally, no change. Still stcuk on Samsung. If I go in to Dwonload mode and use Odin with a EC05 Pit file, will that bring my phone back?

I Got it!!! Back to stock EC05. Trying to root with One Click Root and CWM

Finally got my phone back. EH06 Leak, Rooted with new CWM and ADW themes (for now). Going to flash a new ROM sometime this week. Anyone suggest a good backup program? Titanium? MyBackupPro? Any suggestions.....

Does it matter if I use the free version or the pro version? Just wanting basic back up utilities
