Resolved (I think). The purchase now shows up on my Rakuten account as "cash back on purchases." so it looks like it took about 2 hours to post. I still have a "cash back balance" of $0, but I assume it will eventually go from one category to the other?

I ordered on Samsung.com an hour ago and have the Rakuten extension on my browser, but it doesn't show my 10% back on Rakuten.com. Did I need to link a credit card and use that card? Some places it seems to say yes and others no. Should I cancel and do it again or does it just take a while...

Thank you B. Diddy, you saved the day! I hadn't realized the calendar app had its own time zone setting, but that was exactly the problem. I'd been abroad a few weeks back and that somehow must have triggered it. Choosing "use the device's time zone" solved the problem. You rock!

I finally (after way too much time searching) found the answer. It is tied to the "weather and clock widget" and it is not in the settings for the phone available when you click on the widget, but if you open it from the app drawer and dig deep enough there is a setting you can change.
