I agree with the idea, but based on the op's examples it sounds like a defective pixel rather than normal behavior.

I think you are talking about the Google Clear case and the thread was in reference to the Google Silicone case that comes in several colors (only Black is currently in stock I believe). The silicone case has a layer of microfiber on the inside to protect the rear from scratches.

Re: AC recommends.... It would be a step in the right direction, at least for me. However, I also prefer the aluminum construction over the all glass Samsung has been using lately. This is a bigger deal for me than water proofing and wireless charging.

I saw this yesterday and I think it looks really good this way, but they damaged it during the process. I like the blue, but not for ~$140 to have the change performed and with there being a chance that phone could be damaged in the process.
