There are dual speakers, just not in the sense you think...earpiece speaker is LOW volume, bottom speaker is LOAD volume, per user manual...makes sense... What you are doing is forcing the sound to exit in a different place...thats all!!! Hate to burst your bublle...

Go one today...kinda buggy...out of box required an update...successful I found it heating up the phone pretty good for only a few minutes while attached and operating (in and around the attachment area). Phone Never heats up, either during normal ops or charge before the 360...just my 2!!!

Essential told me it is a known issue, they are working on it. I just dont go to home settings anymore and all is good.

I found this to happen during initial connection, then a couple seconds later it changes from "charging slowly" to "charging rapidly". Maybe that is your issue???

i feel the exact same way. i am ticked off mad.:mad: looks like only option is to somehow re-vert back to the previous software (don't know how) or root the phone and use the wifi tethering option. like to do the former, resisting the latter.

is there any way to wifi tether without rooting on the captivate?
