Doesn't anyone else keep getting the notification that Notes couldn't synch? I'd love to tell it that I never ever want to synch my Notes with their cloud. Never. Maybe there's a better Notes app that I can install that doesn't insist on copying my personal data to a cloud server somewhere.

Exactly. Not being able to "punch in" to video record mode will cost everyone the ability to capture things quickly. I hope they fix that soon.

Can't just "punch in" to record video in camera app. You have to scroll through the different camera modes to find video mode now. Not bad if you're in the plain photo mode, but a bit slower to access if you're in, for example, pro mode ro start.

I have to say that I've noticed almost no difference between before and after the Oreo update. I cleared the cache, but did not do a factory reset. The change in the "always on display" seemed to be eating more battery power than it did before the update, and I was afraid of screen burn, since...

I'm still confused. Is the OP, or is the OP not, using the same SD card in all of these phones? I've had several SD cards fail, and of course, they cause data loss or corruption. I've been involved in all aspects of electronics manufacturing, design, maintenance, etc., for over 40 years...

I'll have to try some of these suggestions. I've heard good things about Swiftkey and the cursor sliding trick may also prove very handy.
