You can try disabling certain google apps in the settings menu... idk why you'd even bother though, Nexus is basically stock Android, which is is like 99% Google.

Putting your phone on vibrate will silence all notification alerts and instead just vibrate when you receive a notification. But if the device seems to skip vibrate, and go straight to silent, try changing it in the settings app.

Re: Upgrade to marshmallow I agree with this statement. My guess is Verizon was the culprit, but nevertheless, I have reason to believe that the Marshmallow update is going to be just like the Lollipop update: Enormously delayed. But this may be good, as Lollipop for the Turbo turned out...

I just got it too! For me, the speed has actually improved, and the new "Now" feature with the home bottom is gnarly! I'm not sure how doze works or if I need to set it up or if it's automatic, but I'm impressed so far. Posted via the Android Central App
