Re: Does your S4 light up when you receive a text or email? It is also an AT&T thing. I hope it is corrected in any future Android software update!

I had a similar issue with my S3 last year and it ended up being a SIM card issue. Have you powered the phone off and back on, just to verify?

I tried this in the Recovery menu, but it gave me a failure message. The phone is still under the 12 month warranty, so I may have to visit with AT&T about a replacement.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. The odd thing is that the issue happens very infrequent. For example, it has happened twice this week, but not at all since the factory refresh on the 15th. One interesting note. When the screen doesn't power back on, the LED light is solid blue. I tried...
