You could very well have a phone where the contact for the plug IS not within tolerance to make proper connection, if your good at disassembly you could tear down the phone and verify proper contacts , or return to Samsung and have them do it under warranty.

Write them to an sd card and use an aukey (it's like an OTG for apple or with an apple computer there's a program that will synch your Samsung and then connect your iPad and it will have all your pictures in photobooth or any higher level software for images.

Upload to your computer and then synch with your new device.
