I think he is talking about Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), not ICS. I have the same question - should this kernel work with 2.3 ROMs (modded stock or customs)?

donfallo If you got your backup - just try to restore it from Rom Manager! So if it's OK and everything gonna work I recommend to do Nandroid backup from CWM recovery(not in Rom Manager). You should enter in ClockworkMod recovery - not in Rom Manager app (Hold button combo) and do all wipes...

Where did you get this kernel? Fix is in zImage or just wireless.ko module? Maybe we can implemented this in joban .35 kernel? Can somebody try and report?

Maybe you should take my ROM http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-lg-phoenix-thrive/157525-custom-rom-lg-stock-2-3-4-a.html as a base and themed it and add some tweaks? That would be easier I think..

I'm not using AT&T as carrier, phone is unlocked and I don't have the sign of carrier in status bar. And for that ROM was using LG stock without deep mods.

You can uninstall all AT&T soft manually if you don't need it.NWhat do you mean sayin' AT&T crap in status bar?

You need to try renstall Windows and put clean LG drvers or change computer. Also use original cable, no USB-hubs (plug cable into backside of system block). Did you disable LG Virtual modem in "Device manager".

Probably ROM Manager won't work. I have same problem - to solve it I flash V20E firmware through KDZ, root it, install recovey from LGMDP v.1.5, and flash my custom ROM from recovery with all wipes.
