Ok, I finally did a reset on my8. You guys were right. It's not as painful as it used to be. One item thought, so far...I can't find USB debugging anywhere, was it disabled? I ask because HTC sync manager does not see phone connected. So I'm thinking another reset may be required....

Sadly, I resisted as long as possible not to upgrade, but I took the plunge 3 days ago. And now I'm not the master of my domain. Verizon m8 with a cache wipe before and after lolligag 5.0.1

So far lollipop has rendered my m8 unsyncable....phone not connected deal. It worked before with kit Kat. Sad! as I have a 50 mb video I must dl from camera to laptop.

Before I did the download I did a 'wipe cache partition' trick and so far no unusual problems.

When all is said and done the M8 battery, unless it's defective, will last, on average, two years. No matter how we use our phones and/ or our charging rituals. And this is coming from someone with no battery expertise except smart phone usage and personal history.
