GS4. Nova launcher with simple round icons.

I'm running the nk1 build on my verizon GS4. Debating whether I should root? From what I can tell I won't have a lot of choices on custom roms. Is there a good safestrap compatible rom available for my phone? I do want to loose the bloat so that would be a benefit. New to this so any advise...

Am I the only one having a good experience with lollipop? I've had it on my nexus since the initial rollout and have had no issues on 5.0 or 5.0.1. I'm eagerly awaiting the update on my GS4 as well. Anybody else enjoying the the update?

According to this yes. Ran another test after checking, same results. Possibly due to high traffic. Most people here have verizon and we only have 2 towers.

I'm on xlte band 4, but I've barely been able to crack 20mbps. This is my most recent. Using a GS4.

There's an app called lte discovery that will show what band you are on. XLTE is band 4

I'm xlte in a small rural town in utah. Still averaging around 20, no other carrier comes close here.

If your data connection is stronger than your wifi your phone will jump to the better connection. I kill my mobile data at home to prevent this.
