Will switching carriers and therefore sim cards cause another factory reset?

Very stupid process... Lol. Luckily when I first got it I hadn't customized much before inserting the Sim. If I do a twrp backup, and the new Sim does reset it again, if I then restore my backup, will it reinstall my previous carriers radio info?

Will switching carriers and therefore sim cards cause another factory reset?

Basically what the title says. I'm running a Samsung Galaxy s7 (g930w8) on one carrier now. It was already carrier unlocked. When I put this Sim in for the first time, it did an unexpected factory reset. Will switching carriers and having a new first Sim insert cause the reset to happen again...

    Heart rate monitor won't finish.

i know this is older, but I was having the same issue with the nonstop heart line. it was reading, the sensor worked, but it never showed a percentage. Not sure if any of you are root users, but it turns out i had frozen a package called "com.samsung.android,sm" which is apparently needed to...

    Powerbear vs yishda?

These are the 2 I'm frequently seeing, on amazon.ca anyway... Which is better? Are either susceptible to being a knock off? Has anyone ever knocked off a knock off?? There's zero lemon too but those seem to all be for the extended one at least that I've found so far I only have experience with...

    Best battery replacement?

I wish they weren't. I'd rather replace my battery then have it waterproofed. I have a hard time trusting water proofing, I'd feel like what if mine is the one unit that's defective and I'd lose all my things that I hadn't backed up yet. That would be nice if it were an option. Make some with...

Why does android sometimes have you try unlock code again, when you weren't trying to unlock it yet?

Im only noticing this reply now... but its the samsung, well s2 basically. but its called captivate glide. i suspect this phone is on its way completely out as the play store hack doesnt work anymore (telling build prop youre running a newer version than you are), but im determined to run it...

    Best battery replacement?

Anker seems to be DOA for spare batteries anymore, amazon says currently unavailable which im thinking is permanent... i guess it makes sense as most batteries are non removable... But, if you have a device which does allow removable battery, which brand other than anker is the best? Ive seen...

Where to buy online without getting a fake?

Thinking about getting a galaxy s7, but they're hard to find in stores in Canada that let you buy outright (I'm grandfathered into a great plan that's really cheap and fits my needs), but I don't want to get a fake, like when I bought an s5 mini from eBay a couple years ago. It was so crappy my...

Why does android sometimes have you try unlock code again, when you weren't trying to unlock it yet?

Every once in a while, I'll push the power button to make sure I hadn't missed any notifications. But when I do this, it is counting down a timer until I can try again, despite the fact that I hadn't tried at all yet to unlock it. Its an older device , so no voice unlock or thumb print or double...

is a little bit of wake lock normal?

I think I may have *touching wood* figured out the majority of my wake lock issues, just labeled "android OS wake lock" in gsam battery monitor. Did some googling and tried unchecking sync my data under backup and reset in settings. Took wake locks down from literally hours especially over...

does anyone else ever have texts "get stuck" until you push your power button to wake your phone fro

Re: does anyone else ever have texts "get stuck" until you push your power button to wake your phone I do use greenify, but I don't have my messaging apps greenified at all. I'm using Samsung captivate glide 4.0.4 with hand cent next SMS, but I've always kept my factory SMS app running also...

does anyone else ever have texts "get stuck" until you push your power button to wake your phone fro

Title cut off, the rest should say "from sleep manually" This doesn't happen often but it does happen. Phone didn't tell me I had a text until I pushed the power button. Then I got 6 copies of the same message... But my SMS says that they send it at 2pm but my time of receipt was 1pm, because...

Why are companies sealing their phones?

what about when your phone acts wonky? currently the solution in my case is to do a quick battery pull, soft reset. can't do that without being able to pull the battery, can you? but yes I'm definitely in the function over form crowd. so maybe it's a couple millimeters thicker to make that user...

Why are companies sealing their phones?

Well thanks but I was curious for personal opinions... I know it's due to water protection and wanting to slim the devices and whatever else... I was just looking for people's opinion on the limitation included in today's phones

Why are companies sealing their phones?

I just find it frustrating, to not have user replaceable batteries anymore. I know it makes it a tiny bit thicker... But at least you'd be able to get the longest life possible out of the device... Without having to take it somewhere to be serviced or having to hairdryer the seal and putting it...
