Screen keeps turning back on while calendar notifications displayed

Curious: What is it that leads you to believe that this is related to Samsung pay?

Screen keeps turning back on while calendar notifications displayed

I've tried uninstalling anything I can think of that's recent or might interact in this way and unfortunately no joy. Something is fighting to continually wake up the screen while the alarm is shown. Very odd and discouraging.

Screen keeps turning back on while calendar notifications displayed

Thanks. I'll try to purge all recent app installs and see how we go. Frustrating that an app has the power to create this type of problem. Do you recall the name or nature of the app? Maybe it could help me narrow it down.

Screen keeps turning back on while calendar notifications displayed

I've had a great run with my GS7E for about a year now and still enjoy it, but in the past 2-3 days it's developed a habit of continuing to turn the screen back on after it times out. This is most common when calendar notifications are displayed. The screen will turn on to show the notification...

    Samsung pay officially released!!

Re: Samsung Pay Officially Released! Unfortunately even this doesn't work for me. I have a Citi MC and it says issuer not supported. Not ready for prime time. It's a shame, but I think they'll turn away a lot of potential users with this limited support and confusing compatibility...

    Samsung pay officially released!!

Re: Samsung Pay Officially Released! I'm trying to understand the bank/card limitation. None of my VISA or MC cards work. Are they saying that I must have both a supported bank and a supported card type? So if you have a VISA card it must be from BofA or Citi? That seems very limiting. I'm sure...

How do I transfer my calendar from my S4 to my S6?

Re: how do I transfer my calendar from my S4 to my S6? Samsung Smartswitch should also allow you to copy over the calendar.

    Is battery that bad?

The issue is less about SoT and more about standby drain. Mine lasts all day because I don't use it much. It drains 4% or more per hour while in standby, so it's good for about 20 hours between charges if not used at all, or about 14 hours if used for 2 hours or so. For me it's fine and the user...

    Best wireless charger for S6?

Is there a consensus here about the best wireless charger for the S6? The OEM one is useless for me because I charge overnight and it randomly quits after reaching 100%. I've gone through two of them, so it's not that I just had a bad one. Any recommendations for devices that will hold the...

Wireless charger won't charge phone to 100% overnight

I've gone through two of these with the same results. Not sure if the problem is in the phone or the charger. Many positive reviews on YouTube, Amazon, etc. for this charger so apparently we're just unlucky. The fact that it occurs for multiple chargers makes me think that see of us have phones...

    Heatin' Issues!

Mine had done this a few times about 10 days ago. I tracked the issue down to OneDrive going thermonuclear when it couldn't upload my photos off Wifi. Not sure if it's a broader issue or was just a localized data/cache issue, but since I uninstalled OneDrive I haven't had the issue repeat.

What is a normal and expected level of battery usage for Android System + Kernel?

I generally don't have trouble getting through a work day with my S6, but I do wonder whether the Android utilization is high. During a typical day (1 - 2 hours SOT, 14-15 hours off charger), I'm burning about 60%-70% of total battery, 30% of which is Android System (~22%) and Android Kernel...

    Very strange battery issue

Actually, I think it's just showing how much battery discharge occured while the screen was off, not necessarily how much was due to the screen. 29% + 47% = 76% which is roughly the total amount discharged so far based on your 23% left stat on the first screen. 29% (or 38% of discharge thus...
