I have used King #5 for over a week now with no issues. I dont use SetCPU or anything just flash the kernal and let it do its thing.

Be sure at the top of Root Explorer that it is set as "Mounted as r/w" instead of "mounted as r/o" that ensures that you can change stuff, otherwise it wont allow you to delete stuff in your app folder

I have ran King's #4 for about 2-3 weeks without any FC issues and was much better then stock. I just loaded up King's #5 for a test go. So far so good.

I have the same issue, tried several different keyboards including vlingo, handcent, stock, and swipe . Every so often it does this. I send around 20-50 text a day and it happens probably twice a day or so. Not a big issue as I have my text limit set to 25 so its not a long scroll back.

I pre-ordered mine also and recieved it 5/6 (I live in a rural area) and by around 5/16 it was already blown out.. just had my alarm(one of the preloaded ones) set too high or something so now to listen to the speaker i can only have it about 1/2 the way up before it just turns into garbled...

you can flash any rom that you want, change your radio, kernal, pretty much allow you to customize however you see fit

used Astro for a while and really liked it until I rooted. I agree with the above that its not quite the simplest to use if you are a newbie. Now I use Root Explorer but thats a couple dollars.

I did the OTA for froyo and i used the test build for the new 3.2.1 from unrevoked 3 and it worked beautifully. Just had to get a driver to update the USB when i plug it into the computer. worked. just started up unrevoked 3 and plugged the phone in and it did all the work. Pretty simple...
