What's the difference between Unrevoked3 and Unrevoked Forever?

Unrevoked Forever turns off your phone from S-on to S-Off allowing for customization and flashing roms. Unrevoked 3 is a rom that you can flash, its a custom operating system that you can change to different ones if you like. I started with Unrevoked 3 and now am on uncommon sense v1.0. its the "look" of the phone.

you sure unrevoked 3 isn't just a root and reflash tool used to flash a custom recovery? I don't think it is a considered a "rom" in the same sense that uncommon, or virtuous is.

It is a root tool.

Unrevoked was the original root tool, but had the vulnerability of having a stock ROM upgrade close off the exploits used to root.

Unrevoked Forever turns the "S" to off. Nothing now known can break root on phones so modified.

Is unrevoked 3.2.1 the next generation of unrevoked forever?

DOes unrevoked forever do anything that unrevoked 3.2.1 does not? Don't they both set S-Off?

I have a curious question about the two.

I have used unrevoked 3 but I know my phone is s-off. It says so in the bootloader. So, my question is do I need to run unrevoked forever? It says on their website that you can run an ota and still have root with forever. I have been running virtuous ROM which has the latest update incorporated into it. However, when I switch to my backups of other roms, they do NOT have the update, and I keep getting the update notification. With Forever, it says I should be able to run the update, and still keep root because of s-off, but my phone already tells me it is s-off. So now I'm really confused about unrevoked forever.
