I don't care what anyone says, these screens will scratch. I'm super careful with mine and it still got a light scratch in it... very dissapointing. Ended up tossing a screen protector on for further peace of mind
My version of this card would not allow anything to boot from SD. Multiple force closes before anything could even get a chance to work!
The 8 gig on the other hand has been fantastic.
Not a problem, and a valid solution. I don't need to spend any more on a tablet right now.
I will eventually ditch the nook for a 'real' tablet, but not at the price points they are at now.

Fix your sync issues on the galaxy tab. Nook is cool because its cheaper... but you already have the galaxy. Heck.... want to trade?

Rooting and overclocking will give you good speeds. I'm at stock evo quadrant scores running nookie off of the SD card

I was unable to use a 16gb class 6 by transcend for nookie.... constant force close of processes even with a clear cache.
Now my 8 gb transcend class 6 has been perfect, and is only 20 bucks on newegg.
For those that are having trouble finding apps even after changing the device fingerprint, try using the web based market. I'm able to find all apps there, and push to my nook if the app is compatible

I agree with everything you just said. I'd even give up some screen real estate for a honeycomb style bar at the bottom.
I plan on using HC once full production and a more stable SD boot are available... ill just deal with softkeys until then
