    Do you know your backup password? It should ask for that after you fail the last attempt.

    One other thing... Go through your contacts and clean them up (easier done on a PC). Convoluted contacts with large notes seemed to cause issues for me at one point.

    After you reset, are you restoring previous apps and data? If so, try skipping that and see if the problem recures. I'm assuming you are using factory ROM; if not, return to that as well.

    Re: How do i undo "forget a Wi-Fi network" on Sony Xperia Z1 Possibly your keyboard is covering the connect button. Try a different one. If that doesn't help, post a screenshot so we can see what is going on. If you haven't already tried rebooting, do that too.

    Please examine your USB port for damage or foreign object causing a short, and blow it out with compressed air. My Note 2 died similarly from a damaged port, even a charged battery wouldn't allow it to start up.
