At a quick glance here is what I think. When I cast a youtube video I see the traffic coming from youtube like I would expect. When I cast a tab form my desktop (just a plain google search tab) there is a LOT of UDP traffic between my computer and the chromecast. So i believe it mirrors...

I believe it works as long as they are on the same VLAN. But i could be wrong and havent taken the time to test. It works from my wired network to the chromecast that's why I think its based off vlan.

According the the Power Supply its 850MaH output. Mine does power through the "Service Only" port on my LG tv.

I have that option on my Linux chrome but haven't checked windows.

No the train is a double Decker so there are 5 stairs that i was on top of. So it fell from about 4 feet down for the stairs alone then include the 3-4 feet from my hand.
