I switched from an old iphone 4. The little annoyances and frustrations in using the Note 3 drive me up the wall. So many little things that seem not to have been tested or optimized for real life use. Contrast that with iOS where you're constantly amazed a little bit at the attention to detail...

Re: Stock music player hissing/white noise I got the hiss even after I turned off adapt sound. I turned off the stock player and am using google play music (which doesn't have adapt sound and doesn't show song lyrics.)

You have to fish your phone out of your pocket in order to use s-voice or google now to make a phone call. At that point it's easier and faster to use your finger.
