    Lollipop killed stock "email" app!

Thanks, Michael. Seems clunky if it does not handle non-Exchange email accounts.

What is my risk of NOT updating?

Does Nine also handle multiple non-Exchange email accounts?

MS Exchange ActiveSync Email Client / App

Tried K9--could not get it to work. Nine--does it handle additional non-Exchange email accounts? AquaMail may be a choice for multiple account and Exchange accounts. I think it is $4.99. Liked the interface. But I really like the plain stock email app running on Kit Kat. So, I rooted my...

    Lollipop killed stock "email" app!

My migration away from Android continues. I got tired of all the notifications to upgrade to Lollipoop. So, I rooted my phone and installed a bloat freezer to freeze update reminders, Gmail, and many other Google apps. Looking for an iphone next year with fast charging and--ideally--OIS in...

    Rooting Quesiton: Custom ROM suggestion?

My goal is to keep the stock email app in Kitkat. This stock app was mysteriously and unfortunately replaced by a gmail interface app by Lollipoop, and the gmail replacement both sucks and cannot handle exchange eamil accounts. In any event, I hate the gMail style interface. Is there a custom...

Moto X/Should I Bother to Upgrade from Kitkat?

Holding off on the iPHone 6s for now (now quickcharging and now OIS on the camera). Broke down and rooted my phone and then installed an app to free the Motorola Update Services app. Stuck happily on 4.4.4 with the stock Kitkat email app. Rooting is so time-consuming. . . Great AC podcast...

Moto X/Should I Bother to Upgrade from Kitkat?

But, as awesome as Lollipoop might be, I don't like the gmail-style email app and the removal of the stock email app that was in Kitkat. So, I am leaning toward either rooting to get rid of that or just simply giving up on Android after 5 years and moving to IOS.

What is my risk of NOT updating?

ghggfc, 1. I understand updates are generally good. But, as I described, the Lollipoop "upgrade" wrecked the stock email app. in KitKat. I had on a tablet that "upgraded" to Lollipoop, and downgraded back to Kitkat. 2. I don't see where Fastmail works for Exchange email accounts. It...

Moto X/Should I Bother to Upgrade from Kitkat?

I have the Moto X (2013). I cannot stand Lollipoop. With Lollipoop, Google wrecked the stock email app that was in KitKat, replading the email app with a gmail interface. The stock email app in Kit Kat worked better with Exchange email accounts and multiple email accounts. I have resisted...

    Lollipop killed stock "email" app!

Done with Lollipoop. Finally had time to figure out how to flash my tablet back to 4.4. Love the downgrade because I am free of Lollipoop. The drowngrade with the input from XDA's 15-sec fastboot and adb installer I am done with Lollipoop and looking at Windows Phone. Screw Google and Android.

    Lollipop killed stock "email" app!

Benjamin_NYC: you can go into the Android device's Settings, then Accounts to disable any email accounts connected to the stock email/gmail.

    Lollipop killed stock "email" app!

Lollipoop sucks. I wish I had never "upgraded" to this pos software. The Android Central boys should be ashamed of the way they absolutely sugarcoated the lag that Lollipoop leaves behind on your device. I hate this system, and I am disappointed in the Android Central boys. My tablet is...
