This tip tremendously enhanced my fingerprint scanner accuracy. Seems to work right which ever way I press my thumb on it now. Thank you so much for this tip!!

Number 3 is solved. Also mentioned on XDA that you must turn off Google Smart Lock in order to not have a duplicative experience. The notifications are still inconsistent. As I did a backup and restore, I have a lingering notion that I better factory reset. Frustrating, as it took a 1/2 day...
