Can I change icons using a stock launcher (GNL) without having root?

I prefer not to have Nova Launcher eating up memory or battery. I actually REALLY like Google Now Launcher and would prefer to use that as my launcher on my Moto X (2014). But I am also addicted to ICON packs. I have accumulated a large collection and would like to use my icons instead of the default. There used to be some applications (ie Beautiful Icon Styler from Calcium Ion Labs) that would allow this, but they seem to have disappeared.

Also, due to security restrictions using Corporate Email clients, I cannot root (and prefer not to). So Unicon and other root required methods are not good for me.

Nope. Unless you change the icon files manually (which requires root), you cannot change the stock icon set.

Icon Changer doesn't require root, but it may not be exactly what you're looking for.
