This happens to me alot also. My Evo is not rooted. Its always on incoming texts, not outgoing. Sometimes it is really off- Like it is 6am when the the texts come in, but time stamp will say 10pm. I also ask people how they are texting from the future, lol. I use handcent, not the stock...

Tech said it probably happened during shipment,lol. Phone is taped in center of an undamaged box. It couldn't have been checked very well before the sent it out. On a brighter note, I received email last night and replacement should be here today. I am hoping for the best. UPDATE...

I ordered mine on Friday and received a refurb on monday. I called to complain about the large crack down the side, she said yesterday that they are on back order- no ETA to give, just when they get them in stock

you can check in through the browser, you just have to be on standard view and not mobile view. it's a pain in the as* but it works.
