What are you computer specs? That would help narrow down your options, since there are so many different distributions of Linux. Some popular ones are: Ubuntu Fedora Debian Puppy Linux Linux Mint (my personal favorite)

You might be stuck in a bootloop. Try going into recovery mode and clearing the cache, and then reboot.

Thanks for the link. I know how to root and I downloaded the files months ago, but I don't want to root my phone yet.

Yeah I guess the only solution is to just get it replaced by AT&T, but I think I'll just stick to KitKat for now as it doesn't have a locked bootloader, and I'll be able to root when I want.
