    Not true, there has been many cases in which people have had the su app, but no privileges. When I tried to root before, I had the icon but no privileges.

    So does this mean that the Atrix/Photon/etc will receive Ice Cream Sandwhich+future updates in a timely matter, and even could this mean the end of MotoBlur? Has our dream of a pure Android Atrix been answered?

    Download root checker from the market. or download a terminal emulator and type in su if a $ comes up, you're not rooted. ' if a # comes up, you've been rooted.

    I'm rooted now. I did the Terminal Access trick, had the $ typed su # came up. I assume that's root. Also Titanium Backup free works just fine.

    Okay, I'm rooted now. How do I get the webtop hack? root checker says that I'm rooted with SU access, but that screen grabber says I dont even though I gave it SU access. Maybe its just the App or is my phone still not rooted?
