Battery Life Seems To Be Getting Better

I've been using AccuBattery to monitor mine (AT&T US).. so far

    Apps requesting too much permission

You can, but from what I'm seeing so far, the app won't function unless you re-authorize the permission.

Can't find Google enhanced services options anywhere on Note 8

After almost 10 days of trying to figure it out & going back/forth with Samsung Support on Twitter, I found out my problem was, OK Google will not work in Battery saving/Power saving mode. It's been working perfectly as long as Note 8 is not in any kind of power saving mode.

    Apps requesting too much permission

This is something I also have an issue with, especially coming over from iOS. No app should be able to interfere with OS core functions or if it does, you should be able to make the decision whether or not to grant access. If permission is granted to ANY core OS function, a final warning popup...

    Lag

I can't name the apps, but yes, there are certain apps which (IMHO) overstep their bounds and require permissions that fight the OS for control and that causes lag, instability, etc. Keep your device clean of over-demanding apps & reboot at least 1x per week - should be OK.

Note 8 'Block accidental screen touches' battery usage.

According to Samsung Note 8 Support page on extending battery life, they suggest you turn this feature on. Galaxy Note8 - How do I monitor and extend battery life on my Samsung Galaxy Note8 (SM-N950W)?

    I heart wireless charging

Good feedback... I hope so too (about taking the case off). I have a Spigen too.

Help - cannot remove unidentifiable app

Some of those apps are found in the Play Store.. so that "app" you have circled appears to be a folder. What happens when you press & hold the app? Doesn't a smaller pop up window appear, giving you more options (such as delete?)

    Help...Random 0KB MMS Messages

I switched the default message app to YAATA about 10 days ago. On Wednesday I received an unexpected 0KB MMS from a known contact. I asked the contact & confirmed he didn't send anything. Then later in the day, I received another MMS, from another known contact.. same story... (no, I didn't...

    Who's using an SD card?

Thanks for the reminder... I checked my status & it still says "processing gift" (although it is supposed to ship this week). I'm not sure what I'll use it for in all honesty... maybe movies? After I take a picture, it is sync'd to Dropbox (1TB) and then I remove it from the gallery.

Can you create templates for Notes on the Note 8?

Re: nurse has a question Information is never useless.... There is confirmation though from Samsung that states that the Note 8 does not have encryption capability. (Snip) Chatting with a Samsung representative a moment ago confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 does not have device encryption...

Can you create templates for Notes on the Note 8?

Re: nurse has a question Again - no different than jotting patient info down on a piece of paper, stuffing it in a pocket & then taking it home. IMHO, that piece of paper can get lost more easily than the data being on a device.
