About the Essential Extended Care warranty, I was able to get it transferred into my name after purchasing second hand but the original purchaser has to be willing to contact Essential support to initiate the request.

I experienced this problem one time also. A reboot solved it for me and it hasn't happened since. I'm running an AOSP Nougat ROM.

I choose the 6P because I prefer the bigger screen.

I'm confused. What is your monthly plan payment for both the phone and the Gear S? And if you bought the phone on contract you have to pay $40 per month in addition to the mobile share plan you picked ie the10GB for $100 a month.

So where's the Fleksy keyboard that was highly publicized to release with the Gear S? Can't find it in Samsung Gear Store... Some even said it would come with it because of the partnership between Samsung and Fleksy. The only keyboard on the Gear S is the Samsung Keyboard.

I just confirmed with an AT&T rep that if you purchase a device at full price and add it to your mobile share plan there no activation fee. So in your example, there would be no activation fee for the Gear S, but will be one for the new phone if you decide to do Next or 2-year contract.
