Got one. After 30 min gaming it's 95F at most, in line with wife's s7 edge.

Animated gifs don't seem to work. They used to work in 7.0. the one below (long story) worked fine in 7 but not in 8. Not in gallery and Textra or Tapatalk or Piktures.

We do some Android development at work and the Windows based tools are laughably huge, as are the development images (6-8 gb). This is for embedded real time control systems. QNX and Linux images are a lot smaller. If a 32gb phone is only left with 16gb out the door that is an issue...

Ok, the X4 seems to check all the boxes for me except plastic back (love the plastic feeling, not a fan of metal backs). But... I use my phone for gaming, ie Angry Birds 2. Motorola phones seem to run toasty if used heavily. My old Moto X Pure would routinely hit 115F, my G4 108F. My wife's S7...

If you use someone else's WiFi like work or college the 5 plus has some rather embarrassing WiFi issue. Motorola has known about it for months and no fix so far. Build quality wise the 5 plus is very good. Haven't loaded Angry Birds 2 for overheating test but the 4 I have is still running warm...

This works great if you're the owner of the router. Unfortunately in college or work environments that's not always the case. I'll try to switch to the college guest network and see if it helps!

The g4 I have is 5.5 inches. DD's g5p is 5.2. the two phones are very similar in size. You'd think 5.2 vs 5.5 would be noticeable. I know 5.7 to 5.5 is, big time. I switched from a MXPE 2015 to the g4. In other words I expected the g5p to be smaller.

Has anyone here been afflicted with the G5 WiFi issue mentioned on many places? I bought a g5p to replace my daughters g3 and on the home Wi-Fi it works great, on the campus wide Wi-Fi in college it disconnects often... Supposedly it has to do with secured networks.

Does the g5 plus run warm? I have a g4 and while it's not the oven that the X Pure 2015 it is hot if playing Angry Birds... My daughter got this 5 plus on Prime day (the special with ads) and so far it's good. I'm amazed the 5p with 5.2 screen is the same physical size as my g4...

No overheating like crazy would help... Wife's S7 runs far cooler.

iTunes for Android 😁 I don't think there's anything. Best way would be to migrate contacts, calendar, etc to Gmail and sync with that.

I recently upgraded (lol) to a G 2016 from a Moto X pure 2015. You haven't seen overheating yet... 30 min of Angry Birds 2 on the X... 112F-116F. On the G, 103F-104F.

Lots of browsing and Google maps has resulted in the X warming up pretty quickly....

If you play demanding games I would avoid the X and read reviews of the Z... My X runs warm, and after 15-20 min of Angry Birds it's not uncommon to hit 112F. I tried with a work phone (Galaxy S7) and after similar play it only made it to 93F.. Having said this, the Samsung UI is awful.
