Has anyone here been afflicted with the G5 WiFi issue mentioned on many places? I bought a g5p to replace my daughters g3 and on the home Wi-Fi it works great, on the campus wide Wi-Fi in college it disconnects often... Supposedly it has to do with secured networks.

Yes, I'm having problems with my new G5 plus. It takes forever to connect on my homework while it works great at my office and usually on public networks when I'm out and about.

The home network works fine with my wife's iPhone and our laptops but on the G5, I often get the message "authentication problem" or "poor signal," even if I'm in the same room as the wireless router.

The security is reported as WPA2 PSK on the G5, but I don't know what that means.

I pressed the WPS button, which I believe is a security protocol, on my router/modem and now everything is working great with the Moto G5 plus wireless Go figure.

This works great if you're the owner of the router. Unfortunately in college or work environments that's not always the case. I'll try to switch to the college guest network and see if it helps!
