After the last update (SP2A.220305.013.A3) I noticed messages now auto archived text messages I open from the pop-up. That is generally convenient for me, but what I'm seeing as an issue is when sometimes texts me in a group message, it will also unarchive that person's individual text messages...

I've seen this in a few password manager apps where the PIN pad for security access to the app scrambles three number pad layout with each use. Does this exist for Android's phone security?

But what is odd to me it's that it is more insistent in Pixel 6 then it was with 3 using the same Android 12 OS. If I unlock my phone 20 times an hour, I shouldn't have to put a PIN/PASSWORD in three or four times. I've never had it be this insistent since I've used biometric unlock on any device.

Right, but it is odd that I'm still using the same OS in this phone as I did in the Pixel 3, yet the 6 asks for password,/PIN that much more often.

My "sometimes" is a few times an hour.

I'm having the same issue after upgrading from a Pixel 3.

I upgraded from a Pixel 3 a month ago and I have noticed the Pixel 6 requests I punch in my PIN or password more often than just letting me unlock my phone with my fingerprint. I'm not finding anything different in the security settings from how I had the Pixel 3 set up in Android 12.

Thank you for the suggestion, though it does not act like a widget. When I hold it to move it as you suggest it only comes up with a "preferences" submenu, whose contents does not solve the issue.

The home screen on Android Pi, the one that appears after you unlock the phone/mobile device. It is near the upper portion of the home screen, just below the notification bar where the date appears.
