These are so annoying!!! Why does every single app need to update like every other day?? My guess is that most of them use your personal info for data mining. I just want to have it all shut off -- can't seem to find a way in "Settings".

My old phone used to do this- so when it was in front of me I could SEE there was a text incoming (or arrived within the past minute). Now I have to constantly check the phone (when I'm @ work and can't hear the text ring tone).

Does the WIRED tethering still work ok? Some of the Android Market reviews for "Easy Tether" state that it no longer works either (since last week's update). Can anyone 100% confirm?? I have no problems paying $10 for the app if it means I won't have to worry about updates in the future.

Uh of course I'm not "messing around with other devices". I'm not doing anything different than when I had my old HTC phone which connected perfectly every single time. It's a random problem so it's obviously a BUG in the phone.
