Holding my Pixel 2 XL 128 in my hand right now with an all white setup screen. It's fine. The blue issue is NOWHERE as big a deal as it is being made out to be.

This sounds easily fixable. Not really worth getting upset over.

I agree. When my phones were paid off via the 18 month agreement with ATT I usually rooted them and put cyanogenmod on them - just to escape the carrier BS. With Project FI that's a non issue so I am happy with stock. As a side note, the S4 was a pain to "root".

Pixel 2 XL shipped - scheduled delivery Thursday the 19th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was on carriers I usually rooted at the end of my contract and went with cyanogenmod (HTC Inspire, Samsung S4) . No carrier bloat on this phone and I like the vanilla android experience so I'll probably stay factory unrooted.

In my daily life I try to avoid best buy at all cost.

My current ship date is Oct 18, and my arrival window is Oct 23-25. Still. Hoping that doesn't change.

One thing I have noticed coming from ATT to Fi and from a galaxy S4 to the 64G 6P is that the call quality is not just better, it's on a whole new level. Also the blue-tooth connects immediately in my Honda whereas the S4 would fidget about for 20 seconds and sometimes go through a few...

Update...My 6p was not scheduled to be here until the 19th. It shipped Wednesday (Imagine my joy) and arrived Thursday the 5th of November. Hats off to Google! 64 gig alum...This thing is AMAZING. My co-workers are GREEN with envy!!!
