I've got a Nexus 6P here, lets get some questions going!

Why does the number of megapixels change if you change camera settings to 16:9? Since you get less megapixels, that doesn't degrade anything? Just trying to understand really.

Because it is a 4:3 sensor. When you change it to 16:9, it essentially is just cropping the 4:3 image down. The resolution loss is the area that is cropped out.

think google dropped miracast in the 6p. Pretty sure they want you to chromecast everything.

Does Nexus 6p come with a few apps to play music, gallery, file manager etc like Sony Xperia, for example? Or does it need users to find their own apps for these?

One thing I have noticed coming from ATT to Fi and from a galaxy S4 to the 64G 6P is that the call quality is not just better, it's on a whole new level. Also the blue-tooth connects immediately in my Honda whereas the S4 would fidget about for 20 seconds and sometimes go through a few disconnect cycles.

Hi can you talk about outdoor use. Under sunlight, bright sun beaming down, is it readable. Good great or just ok? I'm getting conflicting information. I work outside all day so if you could be detailed I would appreciate it. That's basically holding me back about phone

Thx in advance

Definitely readable. I've had phones that are brighter but there is no issue seeing it in bright daylight.

Has the screen been scratched yet? If it has, what scratched it? If not, do u have a screen protector? Does it need one? Have you has a close call with almost scratching it? (The glass)

I have a video but can't post links yet. So here is the link choped in half ha-ha

I have noticed exactly the same thing. Had a Note 3 on AT&T. Call quality on Fi is the best I've ever had, both on wifi and cellular.

I just got my 6P last night, 32gb Al, and I have to say it’s big. Coming from a Nexus 5 it’s going to take some time getting used to it. It’s easily one of the best looking phones I’ve ever seen. But it’s seriously like a bar of soap or at least it feels like it out of the box. I’m hoping it’s a little easier to handle once my case is on tomorrow. I think it’s a combo of me not being use to the size and it not having the rubber backing of the N5.

I also need to get used to the power button being further down the side than the N5. I love the finger print scanner. I think because it works so well I’ll probably give Android pay a shot. I did some launch test of aps on my N5 and 6P and was surprised that my N5 wasn’t that far behind the 6P in speed of launch. On the flip side it seemed like it was flying on Chrome much faster than the N5. The camera on the 6p I also amazing, especially compared to the N5.

I honestly think Google would have made the perfect phone if they would have gone with the build and design of the 6P in the 5X size. Honestly I would have gone with the 5x but I felt like it wasn’t much of an upgrade over the N5. Anyway, excited to get my case tomorrow so I can activate the phone and start using it on a daily basis.

not sure if this is the most appropriate place to post or not. I was wondering how you do slow motion videos on the 6p? i've looked everywhere in the camera app and can't seem to work out how to do it?
Probably being very thick but if someone could help out that would be great!

When in video mode there's an icon that looks like a speedometer in the upper right hand corner, tap it to change how many fps the camera shots at. 240 willing give you the slowest video play back.

Hi! I am still 'happy user' of my N4 but I have decided to move on finally. Here in Denmark N6P costs almost 800USD for 32GB... Meanwhile, prices for Samsung s6 are getting down and now I can buy one for a bit less than 600USD. But if not to take into account the price, what phone is better in your opinion? I am a bit worried about all these issues with glass breakages, bends and so on. I do need a competent advice as far as most people in Denmark are iPhone zombies :) thank you in advance, guys!

Can anyone tell me if there is a setting to change the position of the back button. I would like it on the right side. I'm having a difficult time reaching it. Maybe there is an app or a launcher that will do this? Any ideas? I'd rather no root this.

Anyone rocking a nexus 6P and Gear S2? Any issues? Just impulsively bought the s2 without my 6p yet. Haha
