Why am I unable to answer calls on my Moto G/Android?

Unable to answer calls on Moto G/android

My Motorola Moto G screen stays black and locked when I receive some incoming calls. I'm unable to answer them and if I try and open the phone the call is dropped. I'm on O2 and this problem seem intermittent with no pattern that I have noticed. Any suggestions?

Go to settings - accessibility and make sure that the option "power button ends call" is unchecked.
