Now with the DE, is the bootlocker unlocked to begin with? I thought it was, or do I have to go to the Moto page and request the code?

Does anybody else have a different 'System version' than the OP ? Mine is 222.26.7 ghost verizon

Is this right or did something go wrong ?

Edit: I just noticed my Google play services app is version 7.8.99 thats not the latest and greatest is it ? how do i up date ? uninstall reinstall ?

Look it up on the Play Store and it will have the Update button. That's what I did to get to 8.1.15.

I did a couple reboots last night and got the new Play Services somewhere in the process. My battery life seems much improved after the Play Services update. Cell Standby is still at the top of the list but at 64% battery life left (after removing from the charger at 5:30 AM, now almost noon) I feel like it'll survive the day.

One other thing. I was trying to kill the battery last night before bed. I was at 1% for an hour before I finally went to bed. So it appears maybe the estimate is off.

Thanks, that solved that issue, now just the battery haha.

If something is keeping your phone awake all of the time, then maybe this will help you identify the cause: Wakelock detection without root

Should be able to get update from the Play Store, if not there's APK Mirror. Just make sure you get the right one.

Example of battery usage so far today. Unplugged from charger at 6:45am. It is now 9:21am and it's at 45% life. Here is what I have done in that time span. Listened to podcast via Bluetooth for 1 hr. Watched Netflix video for 20min via Lte to Bluetooth headphone at gym. Screen at medium brightness.

BTW, the early returns on installing 8.1.15 are promising. Battery life seems improved already.

My Awake is not solid, but now 10:45am a lil over an hour since I last turn on my phone screen from my last post, my battery is now at 27%. So something is def eating it up. Will keep looking into it. Thanks

Advice to you people now just getting 5.1...

1. Without a doubt do a factory reset. Lollipop restores all apps and their location on the home screen, wifi networks setup, etc
2. Turn on dev options and change all animation speeds (theres 3 i think) from 1.0 to 0.5

This update has really breathed new life into my Verizon motox. I was so disgusted with Verizon's lack of updates that now I run on family mobile with a $37 monthly bill! I am waiting for the new nexus 5x to upgrade. For now, viva la moto x!

Mine's been working fine since that initial glitch, and even then the sync itself worked ok. I'd try unpairing the device from Misfit and then re-pair it.
