Hello, my Moto xt1650 doesn't charge un less its in BP tools mode

I have to push the volume down and the power button to get it to go into the safe mode, then through experimentation I found that it only charges in BP tools mode. When it does it's doing fast charge charges all the way up in like an hour and a half or less.
How do I get it to charge in a normal mode?

Welcome to Android Central! That's a 6 year old phone, so the hardware might simply be failing.

Does it charge normally in Safe Mode? Have you already tried a factory reset?

Only, only charges in BP tools mode. 6 years old and it wants to fail already? My goodness. I've got a note 5 older than that.
Like I said it charges in fast mode on the BP tools mode I have not ever been able to get it to charge in any other mode

6 years is pretty old for mobile tech these days, especially for batteries. And Moto/Lenovo wasn't the most stellar manufacturer when it came to quality control.

So you already tried a factory reset, I presume?
