Proud new owner of a Verizon Moto X here. I waited a long time for motomaker and I am loving my crimson back and metallic yellow accents.
Anyway, coming off my gnex, I really want that new feeling out of the X and was thinking about side loading the GEL. I did it for a bit and it seems to work fine, but i'm wondering if anyone has seen battery life impacted by the launcher or any other hiccups. I know the X has a separate chip for low power audio listening, similar to the snap dragon 800, but I don't know how similar they actually are.
