I am disappointed with the camera in my new X Play. Pictures are badly focused and lack punch. Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong or another app to replace the stock one. I looked at Manual Camera but this phone is not compatible.
Thanks for any help, Tom

Re: Motorola X Play camera

You are not the only one. I've made a post here about macro photos, but later I've noticed that camera isn't focusing well even in regular conditions.

Re: Motorola X Play camera

I feel the same. I'm seriously considering switching to the Nexus 6p which still seems to have good battery life (the reason I bought this phone) but has a better camera apparently.

Do you display the focus/exposure ring? With that displayed you get visual confirmation of focus before taking the photo. The thing with the moto camera app is it takes the photo instantly when you touch the screen so if it isn't already focused then you will get blurry shots. Or u can try a different camera app
