I bought a z force two weeks ago and so far I love it. It's fast, and coming from a S5 I have got no complaints.
However I have noticed last few days that my battery drains overnight while in standby. Last night it was almost 18%, day before it was 10%. It wasn't like that before.
Initially I thought it was my wifi but when I looked in GSam Battery Monitor I can see the issue could be with my screentime.
If you look at the screenshots you will see that the battery discharge % while off is higher then while on. Is this normal? Is anyone else seeing this?
I restarted my phone recently as well prior to the battery drains. Also applied the latest updates.

any thoughts? really appreciate it.
Karan

I don't know much about whether GSAM stats are right or wrong, but I will say this: plug in your phone to charge while you are sleeping. If anybody ever told you that it was better to deeply discharge your battery before recharging, or that it was bad for your battery to leave it plugged in while fully charged, they were wrong. That way you start each day with a fully charged battery and you don't have to worry about any discharge during the night.

Thank you for your response. I agree that I should be charging the phone overnight but it still does not help me understand why the battery drains when the display is off.

Even now it's over 54% discharge while off.

All the usual things to try, any rogue apps, have you cleared the system cache? Hopefully you won't have to do a full factory data reset.

Yea thats one of the things on my list to try. Just want to see if there are others who have experienced this and have a different approach.
