Well, accidentally dropped the phone in a whole bunch of water for a few seconds yesterday. Ended up being fine (but don't try this at home, I tested it for you)

I think pretty much any phone these days is as waterproof as I need them to be.

Motorola has been treating their boards to be water resistant for years. They're not specifically rated for water resistance, but I'm not surprised that they have a decent chance of surviving a quick exposure.
