Freeze and Reboot when receiving app updates

Forgive me if this is a repeat, I haven''t seen it posted however.

I have been plagued with my Maxx freezing and rebooting, sometimes several times a day, at least a few times a week. Watching what is going on, it seems that as soon as an app tries to auto update, it causes my phone to freeze and reboot. I determined this by noting that after it restarts, almost immediately I have a download notification.

Anyone else encountered this? I am currently seeing what happens when I disable auto updates in the Play store.

I occasionally have issues with spontaneous reboots. When it happens, I do a wipe of the cache partition. I'd start with that.

You won't lose any data. Just a quick note that it usually takes 10 to 20 minutes to run, and if suggest having at least some battery life left when you do this.
