turbo charger making phone warm

My turbo charger is making my phone pretty warm. It happens when I charger it from several % levels. Not just when the battery is low. Is it normal? Will it hurt the battery?

I am getting high tempos just using the phone

Sent using my Verizon Turbo charged 64GB Ballistic Nylon phone unfortunately with a case on back

I've noted the temp increase more when charging from a low battery level, which makes sense since the charger hits the phone with more voltage for rapid charging at those levels. More activity = more heat.

Also, I've noted the phone doesn't get as warm now, about 2 weeks in, when charging from low battery levels versus when it was received (online order) with zero charge.

Yeah, I have been getting this also when I am put my phone on the charger under 20%, but it cools off past that. This does not happen with another charger, so I took it as normal functionality of the rapid charging system.
