I don't have one, so this is just a wild guess, but look for a little hole next to the drawer. You should have gotten a tool that's an oval of wire with a piece of wire sticking straight out of one of the short curves. Stick that piece into the hole and press gently. Wither the drawer wqill pop out, or as you press, the drawer will slide out.

The sim card tray in the Turbo is a bit different than most other phones; it's integrated into the volume rocker. You can pull it out by using your fingernail on the bottom of the volume rocker.

Why would we use the HTC M9 user guide for the Motorola Turbo ? Seems to me the OP should reference the Moto Turbo user manual don't you think ?
