Google Talk issues

Checked over the other threads and didnt see what I was looking for.

Droid X running 2.1. I use Google Talk to talk to the wife and kids.

1.) I notice I dont get notifications all the time.
2.) I continually am signed out. I have to log back in even though I'm set up to sign in automatically. This happens from what I can tell is if I manually turn the screen off. If I let it go to sleep by itself, Google Talk is still online and logged in.

i get the same thing when i switch from wifi to 3g

Uninstall it. Then do a fresh install. See if that works.

I did the same thing with another app and it worked perfectly after the second install.

Silly question. How do I uninstall it?

When I got to it in applications, I see clear cache and force stop.

You can't uninstall GTalk. Are you talking about Google Voice?
