Went from leaked 2.2 unrooted BACK to stock 2.1 using the method in the link below. THEN, went to 2.2 Froyo Official. It does run better!

The second link below offers a semi 1-touch method of rooting 2.2 Official using the Droid 2 process (a process from XDA Developers). I have not yet taken the next step of rooting 2.2.

Reverting using RSD lite (as a complete newbie from Blackberry) was scary but it works flawlessy if you follow the instructions. Namely wiping the data and cache after the flash.
I don't know if I will root using the XDA process. I am inclined to wait for an true 1-touch Root for 2.2 Official.
Anyone have some input on this?
