As reported here?. Specimen FRG22D reportedly escaped from its Cheerio-lined cage in the rugged mountains of Kansas on 24 August 2010. Verizon has dispatched dogs -- Miniature Dachshund / Newfoundland mixes -- in an attempt to track and subdue the beast before it gets out into the community at large. As of yet, their attempts have been wholly successful and, it would seem, no one has been infected by contact with Specimen FRG22D.

The public has been warned via aggressive Facebook and Twitter status updates, but these messages have recently been being superseded by a posting of a kitten attacking and eating a particularly distasteful insect.

If you come in contact with Specimen FRG22D -- do not panic. Symptoms may include a shocking sense of disbelief, a sudden desire to brag to friends and acquaintances, and frenetic tapping to figure out just what the hell is different. You should immediately drop your pants, regardless of where you are, to see if you can; this will show that Flash is available. If Flash is available, then you should find and watch some questionable adult content; show an iPhone user if one is available.

Verizon spokescritter, Fifi Hotspot, says that there is no reason to be concerned. Verizon will probably, in the near future, deny that FRG22D was ever released.

FEMA (False Emergence for Motorola Androids) has stockpiled hummus, chicken-flavored crackers, and misleading press releases in case this outbreak is contained.
