Travelling in Europe

I understand that my new Motorola Virgin M. Triumph does not provide "service" in Europe. Does that mean wifi also, or just not phone service?

Wifi is wifi wherever you go. I know of people whom have used iPhones in europe with just using the wifi, and whatnot. I also can use wifi in airplane mode(save a lot of battery life in places with horrid reception!) so you should be able to use it in europe as a wifi only device.

If you can't that'd be a HUGE surprise to me.
