I have Rubix 1.8.6 installed on my Droid X now. I've tried looking, but can't find any good step by step instructions on how to go from a custom ROM to the Stock OTA update that just came out.

Anyone have a step by step for this? I have no problem getting rerooted and updated to Apex 1.3 afterwards, but I'm confused on how to go back so I can update.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

you need to get back to a stock ROM first. the easiest way is if you have a backup from before you installed rubix. just flash back to that and you should be set. if not, youll have to sbf to get back to stock so you can get the OTA

Yeah, I deleted my stock backups a while ago. Oops.

I managed to get it updated to Apex 1.3. Only took numerous reboots, several boot loops, an SBF restore, a few updates, reboots, etc...

A couple hours of random trial and error, googling, etc. seems to have worked wonders.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

no stock?

I received the push 2.2.1 the other day, but it failed to install, and now settings tells me I have FRG22D, and that I am up to date.

How can I get the bug fixes from 2.2.1? I've even tried reinstalling Amazon mp3
