Skyfire just released an update with nice improvements. Available in the marketplace now.
The most appreciated is the ability to set default to desktop versions of all websites - no more about:debug nonsense or rooting necessary.
I still find Chrome a faster browser, but the ability to always go to full sites will likely ensure Skyfire as my preferred browser (until Chrome and the others add similar features)
